A member of rap group Nappy Roots is recovering after being shot following a robbery Wednesday night at a brewery the group owns near downtown Atlanta.

A release published Thursday on behalf of NappyRoots and Atlantucky Brewing confirmed group member Scales suffered a gunshot wound to the leg following the incident.

 He was in "stable condition" as of Thursday, according to the release, posted on Twitter by Atlanta-based marketing firm Rhythm Communications

"I am certainly relieved that my business partner and brother Scales is safe and recovering," said Skinny, a Nappy Roots rapper and co-owner of the brewery.
